The Business development team is composed of a solid group of Stillaguamish Tribal members and non-tribal members who utilize their diverse backgrounds and experience to propel the Stillaguamish Tribe's economic development and future growth.
Daryl Gray Economic Development Officer
Daryl is a member of the Stillaguamish Tribe, the son of Cheryl Goodridge (Bray) and grandson of Gardner Llewellyn Goodridge and grew up near Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. Daryl's background is in business, sales and marketing and information technology of which he brings more than 20 years of related experience.
Daryl joined the Business Development team in the Summer of 2012 after moving from Canada and was tasked to redesign and improve the websites for our Triball owned businesses, including the River Rock Smoke Shop and Banksavers Nursery and Landscaping. Daryl also played a large role in marketing efforts for the River Rock Smoke Shop enterprises.
As a business development officer, Daryl utilizes his varied background to help benefit the new and existing economic development projects and assist the department in its economic development pursuits. Daryl looks forward to putting his experience to work and being a part of the Stillaguamish Tribe's ambitious economic growth.
Michael Olguin River Rock Smoke Shop/Convenience Store Director
Michael grew up in a military family and has lived in numerous countries and States but moved to Washington State with his family in 1994. Having pursued a career in retail management and having many years of related experience, including 12 years of experience working in Indian Country. Mike began working for the Stillaguamish Tribe in 2009.
In 2011, he joined the STECO team as the Convenience Store Director. Michael is excited to be part of the STECO team and looks forward to contributing to its success.
As Convenience Store Director, Michael oversees the 2 existing River Rock Smoke Shop locations, the new River rock Tobacco & Fuel location, as well as providing direction and design ideas for new projects including future River Rock Fuel Station locations.
Joshua Wells STECO Project Manager
Joshua D. Wells is a member of the Stillaguamish Tribe, son of Dana Soholt (Young) and grandson of former chairperson Donna Martin (Gladsjo) and grew up in the local Arlington area. Josh plays an active role in treaty-based fishing in the Stillaguamish Waters. Josh graduated in high school 2001 with a sport scholarship where he attended Edmonds and Everett Community College, before transferring to Dakota State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Moving back to Washington State, Josh attended and graduated from Whatcom County Community College while working in the field of Physical Therapy. In 2010, Josh joined the Stillaguamish Family Resources as coordinator, where he worked for over 18 months.
Josh joined the STECO team as Project Manager in October 2012. Josh's family background gave him valued construction experience early on, which he now relies on as Project Manager. Josh enjoys working in Indian Country, being part of the STECO team and looks forward to contributing to the continued economic growth of the Stillaguamish Tribe.
As STECO Project Manager, Josh is responsible for all the initial required work for new projects including creating, issuing and reviewing requests for proposals to contracting companies under consideration, as well as conducting interviews and reviewing all related contracts. Josh will be the point-man for new projects once they reach the construction phase, coordinating with the Project Superintendent as well as helping to organize construction staff, contractors and subcontractors.
Cynthia O'Neil STECO Human Resources Coordinator
Cindy was born and raised in Redwood Falls, Minnesota and graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications as well as a minor in Business. Cindy has numerous years of experience in gaming as well as experience as an employment coordinator. Cindy moved to Washington State in 2007 with her family.
Cindy joined the STECO team in late 2012 as Human Resources Coordinator. She is extremely excited to be working with the STECO team and looks forward to using her experience to contribute to its success.
As the STECO H.R. Coordinator, Cindy's role is to handle all employment related issues for the businesses and enterprises under STECO control, as well as acting as a liaison between STECO and business employees.
